Shameless Friend Promotion: Help Send Spaceman Zac to Space Camp

My friend Zac wants to go to space and live on Mars. He's not scared to admit it, he's not scared to do it. As long as I have known Zac, he's had a driving passion to make the world better, to make things better and doing it all through his complex faith in science. I've always been impressed with Zac's ambition to hit his goals straight on, plowing through walls as though they are made of marshmallow fluff when in reality, to me they looked like granite.

How can you not want to support a man who uses his life so fully to pursue his dreams.

Check out Zac's campaign here and while you're at it, help send him to Space Camp.

Also, on Friday May 30th you can catch Zac at The Odyssey Coffeehouse for Space Chat and BBQ
Tickets and more info can be found here!

An Italian Sunset: Mountain View Connection & Lougheed House

I have always enjoyed Chamber Music, it sounds weird-- I think. I came home from a day of school in grade 4 raving about these high school students who came to perform for my class. They style of music was apparently called "Chamber Music" and all I could picture was a chamber pot and someone playing a violin into it but I was still in love. My  mum thought I was crazy....

Since then, I have found a special place for classical (and more specifically Chamber Music) in my life as I have found it to be powerful at creating a peaceful mindset. When I saw this event I jumped on it, the Lougheed House is beautiful and as a big fan of Italian opera's.. personally, I can't think of a more beautiful way to spend a Monday night.

Oh and wine.

Culinaria: A Taste of Food History on the Prairies

This Event looks great and it's located at the beautiful and historical Lougheed House in West Conaught-- thought I think the house is always beautiful, the property comes alive in the Spring and Summer as the stunning gardens fill with unique and colorful foliage.
